The collision caused vehicles to form a 10-kilometer queue
A road crash involving many cars blocked traffic on Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway, causing vehicles to form a 10-kilometer queue on Sunday.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place at 8:30 pm on the day at the section crossing Long An Province of the Ho Chi Minh City-Trung Luong Expressway, which connects the southern city with the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang.
A total of three trucks and three four-seater cars were involved in the crash.
However, one truck was able to leave the scene since it only sustained minor rear-end damage.

Meanwhile, three other vehicles suffered from major damage, with two of them taking both front and rear-end disfigurement from being crushed between two of the trucks.
Victims in the four-seater cars were taken out of the vehicles after they were found injured.

The accident clogged up both lanes heading to Ho Chi Minh City on the expressway, which led to a prolonged traffic jam.
Stalled commuters were seen using the emergency lane, which impeded the arrival of functional forces to the scene.
By 12:00 am on Monday, traffic police had not yet been able to reach the collision.
