The German carmaker has discovered a defect relating to the nuts that connect certain parts of the vehicles’ rear suspension system
German car manufacturer Audi on Monday announced the recall of more than 100 automobiles in Vietnam due to a defect regarding the nuts that connect the vehicles’ rear suspension system.
The error affects 104 cars of the Audi A4, A6, A7, Q5, Q7, and Q8 models, which were manufactured between 2019 and 2021.
The carmaker has detected a defect relating to the nuts that link certain parts of the vehicles’ rear suspension system.
There is potential deviation from specifications of the material used to produce the nuts, the company elaborated.
This could lead to a loss of linkage between the wheels and the rear axle suspension.
The firm has not recorded any accidents caused by this error.
Audi Vietnam will directly contact the owners of the affected cars to inform them about the recall.
The inspection and repair will take about one and a half hours for each vehicle and will be free of charge.
People who bought these car models from a private seller can contact the company from now until November 2024.
In early November, Swedish automaker Volvo recalled 28 Volvo XC90 Excellence automobiles in Vietnam in order to update the software that controls the front passenger seats.
