At least ten people were injured when a car plowed into a group of motorbikes stopping at a red light in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday night.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Xo Viet Nghe Tinh and Ung Van Khiem Streets in Binh Thanh District at around 6:30 pm, when a driver suddenly hit the gas and barreled through several motorbikes before slamming into a utility pole.

The driver, a 23-year-old woman from the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong, admitted she had accidentally put her foot on the accelerator instead of the brakes.

She was quickly sampled for alcohol and drug testing. The results for both tests came back negative, according to a police statement.

At least ten people were injured in the accident.

No deaths have been confirmed, though authorities are still obtaining information from the hospitals where the victims are being treated in order to get an official record.
