Here, Gibran Bukhari, head of sales for the acclaimed developer, shares his views on the project, Ho Chi Minh City’s District 9, and the market itself.

You have worked in many exciting markets around the world; what do you think of the real estate market in Vietnam right now?

Vietnam has had an incredibly positive turnaround in the wake of the pandemic and worked tirelessly toward recovering the economy; I think it’s one of the few countries having maintained a good growth rate over the last year.

As the country continues to develop, real estate value remains within the affordability of given customer segments, which is a positive sign for the future. And while prices in the market will increase or decrease depending on the overall state of the economy, I am confident real estate will remain a safe, highly effective investment channel for Vietnamese and international buyers.

Why did you choose to build Masteri Centre Point in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City?

According to 2019 statistics, Ho Chi Minh City’s population was around nine million, a number that is projected to continue growing. With land area in the central districts becoming increasingly limited and scarce, it was important for us to consider future buyers’ changing expectations. Being the ‘high-tech center’ of the city, District 9 was an obvious choice.

Following the upheavals caused by COVID-19, the real estate market has gradually warmed back up thanks to newly launched projects. While each new development is valuable in its own right as per buyers’ requirements, ultimately all buyers expect their purchase to see a high return on investment over time.
