Newly-launched Vietravel Airlines is cooperating with its parent company Vietravel to offer all-inclusive tour packages with competitive pricing, starting January 7.
The carrier will welcome the first wave of passengers boarding its flights with a tour bundle including high-end leisure and travel services, said a company representative.
The bundle will be sold for the first time between January 7 and 14, with departure locations including Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, and a discount of up to 40 percent.
The packages offer optimized itineraries to travel to Vietnam’s best destinations, namely the mountains in northwest and northeast areas, Ha Long Bay, Bai Dinh Pagoda – the biggest Buddhist structure in Vietnam, as well as famous beaches at Ky Co, Eo Gio and Phu Quoc, among others.
A four-day-three-night tour through the northern upland, crossing Sa Pa, Mount Fansipan, Lao Cai Province, and Hanoi is priced at VND3.9 million ($168).
Meanwhile, a journey along the northern coast, from Hanoi to the limestone formations of Ninh Binh and Ha Long, takes only VND4.6 million ($198).
Tourists who wish to visit all destinations in both mentioned tours can opt for a six-day-five-night bundle for only VND6.5 million ($281) per person.
A subsidiary of private travel agency Vietravel, Vietravel Airlines will operate both domestic and international routes. It was officially launched after a ceremony on December 26.
As the latest addition to Vietnam’s aviation industry, the air carrier is expected to raise proficiency for the air transport and tourism sector in Vietnam.
According to Vietravel Airlines CEO Vu Duc Bien, the airline positions itself as a hybrid of a low-cost carrier and traditional airline model, which means its tickets will be higher than no-frills Vietjet’s but not exceed Bamboo Airways’ range.
Customers will be able to buy flight tickets at 17 set price points and enjoy support for booking errors as well as rescheduling.
It is envisioning routes to other ASEAN countries, specifically Thailand, before reaching out to the Middle East and Northeast Asia, markets which Vietravel already has an edge in.
